Because I love you

Because I love you, I obey you and I will follow you.

These are the words Jesus longs for us to say and do. He is waiting for us to make the choice HE gave us to love, obey and follow HIM. Once you do your lives change, you can watch with peace of mind that HE is with you always, where ever you go.

From Rachel’s Book:
Jesus, break these strongholds
Tear down the strings of sin
Release me from my pride
Rescue me from these games
Restore me from the hurt
Renew my heart again
Tear down this bondage
Destroy this burden
Give me love, Give me peace
My life, my love, my wants,
My needs my passion,
My strength, my faults
My sin, my friends,
My foes, my family
My all… is now yours.

Failing God is going to happen to everyone. We are human and in our humanness we disappoint those we love, including God. Jesus offers eternal salvation. Through confession, repentance and having a willing heart to change is the plan. The more you are in the TRUTH, with friends who can keep you accountable and really worship and spend one on one time with our sweet Lord, the less times we are likely to fail HIM.

“Grace strikes us when we are in great pain and restlessness. It strikes us when we walk through the dark valley…It strikes us when we feel that our separation is deeper than usual,” writes theologian Paul Tillich.

Dear Lord, I thank you for your grace and mercy. Please allow me to walk with your through the joyous of times and my dark valleys, I am blessed to know you will not leave me. God how wonderfully awe inspiring for you to give your one and only Son for me! Please empower me with your strength to reap all the fruits of the Holy Spirit you have so freely given to me. I humbly thank you and pray this in your Son, Jesus Christ name.
Amen

Find Out Who You Are

What uniqueness did God give you? So, sorry I haven’t written in a while, I actually have written about 3-4 songs and am in the middle of 2 AWESOME bible studies!! I should commit my learning to the BLOGS!!

To complete Rachel’s book before I get off on my other new stuff here – quickly…

“Don’t let your character change color with your environment. Find out who you are and let it stay its true color.”

Defining a CLIQUE; a narrow exclusive circle or group of persons; one held together by a presumed identity of interest, views or purposes.

It’s funny that God puts me back to this chapter at this particular time in my life – it’s been awhile since I’ve read this chapter but glancing back through – her teen life is not so different than life as an adult struggles. We still struggle with labels, different groups of friends – the cliques no matter how hard we try to say we aren’t. You have the, stay home moms, wanna be stay home moms, career mothers, nursery teachers, broken home families and my personal favorite Josh’s mom. Which means I have no identity of my own, I’m just known as Josh’s mom!

The best label we could really call ours is Christ follower. Once committed to Christ finding your uniqueness God gave you to fully live out your “label” is a mission of a life time!! Your life is in complete fullness with your lifemaker!
